What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is a system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for Canadian permanent residence through certain economic immigration programs. The Express Entry system is used to manage applications for skilled and qualified workers.
The programs are: Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class. Each program has a different criteria for eligibility. The first step is to determine which program the applicant qualifies for.
What is Sponsorship?
You are eligible to sponsor a child, spouse or a common-law partner living outside or inside Canada if you’re at least 18 years old and a:
•Permanent Resident of Canada
Once their sponsorship application is accepted, they become permanent residents of Canada they can live, study and work in Canada without the need for a work permit, study permit, or visitor visa.
